For those unfamiliar with Andy Kostka and Daryl Dahl you really missed out.  Click their names for links to their inlineskatempls.com to learn more about them.  We lost Andy Kostka in November 2012; this will be the 6th Annual Andy Kostka Memorial Skate.  We lost Daryl Dahl in June 2015; this will be the 3rd Annual Daryl Dahl Memorial Skate.  Both were taken too early and their absence has left a huge hole in the skating community.  The 2016 Memorial skate will be held on Saturday, August 11th at 9:00 AM with lunch to follow.  Come to skate/bike/run or just meet us for lunch to honor the memory and remember our friends Daryl and Andy.

When: Saturday, August 11

Start Time: 9:00 a.m. (or whenever you get there–depending on how many miles you want to plug in)

Where: Elm Creek. We’ll meet in the parking lot by Lifetime Fitness. Take Hwy 169 to 120^th Ave (Target will be to the East and Lifetime Fitness will be to the West). Take 120^th Ave West past Lifetime Fitness to the North West corner of their parking lot. See www.inlineskatempls.com under Group Skates for a map and detailed directions. We’ll start from the trail head by Lifetime Fitness and head towards the bench for a few photos and then do loop or two or more. If you want to log extra miles come early.

Post skate lunch: 11:30 at Clive’s Roadhouse, 11680 Theatre Drive N, Champlin, MN 55316.

What you need to do: show up, of course, and when the date gets closer let Dan Collins (danielrcollins@gmail.com) know if you will be there for lunch so we can lock in the reservation at Clive’s

If it rains we’ll meet for lunch at Clive’s.
